Use a simple folder that is easy to find, back up, repair, or replace later.

Avoid protected Windows folders like Program Files when possible.

Windows Security Notice

Because the launcher is in beta and not yet code-signed, Windows may show Windows protected your PC or Unknown publisher. If you downloaded from the official Forsaken Veil website, click More info, then Run anyway.

Important Update Note

The launcher is now the main supported update path. Major updates, new patches, and future client delivery will be handled through the launcher whenever possible.

Included Tools

Forsaken Addon Suite

The new client comes with the main Forsaken Veil addons preinstalled. Most players do not need to manually install the core addon setup before playing.

Some addons may still be updated, replaced, or adjusted as beta testing continues.

First Launch

Display Mode Tip

For the cleanest first launch, choose Windowed / Maximized in the launcher before pressing Play.

Avoid changing display mode in-game if it causes a black screen. Close the client and switch display mode through the launcher instead.

Quick Checklist

✦ Extract the launcher zip before running it.

Setup Flow

Installation Steps

Download the Launcher

Download the official Forsaken Veil launcher zip from this page.

Extract the Zip

Extract the launcher zip to its own folder before trying to run it.

Run the Launcher

Open ForsakenVeilLauncher.exe from the extracted folder.

Choose Your Setup

Select whether you already have the client installed or need a fresh install.

Select Your Client Folder

Choose your existing client folder or select where you want the new client installed.

Let It Install

The launcher will download, install, patch, and prepare the client for launch.

Choose Display Mode

Select Fullscreen or Windowed / Maximized before launching the game.

Press Play

Once the launcher finishes, press Play and enter Forsaken Veil.

Troubleshooting

Launcher will not open

Extract the zip first, then try running the launcher as Administrator. If needed, re-download it from the official website.

Launcher cannot find client

Use the folder selection option and manually point it to the correct client folder.

Game does not launch

Make sure the correct client folder is selected and the launcher finished before pressing Play.

Black screen issues

Switch to Windowed / Maximized in the launcher and relaunch the game.

Addon setup

The main Forsaken Veil addons are preinstalled with the new client in most cases.

Missing downloads

Open launcher logs from the gear icon, then check the downloads folder.

Beta Reminder

Forsaken Veil is still in active beta testing. You may encounter launcher issues, client issues, bugs, addon issues, or visual problems as we continue refining the experience.
